Biography

Zakiul Huq Robin
Barrister-at-Law (Lincoln’s Inn)

Zakiul Huq Robin is a Barrister of Lincoln’s Inn with around fourteen years of legal experience in the United Kingdom and Bangladesh. He works in UK immigration law at Stonebridge Legal Solutions and handles both business and personal immigration matters. His caseload covers sponsor licence applications and sponsor compliance, Skilled Worker and other work routes, the Innovator Founder visa, family and private life applications, further leave to remain and settlement.

His legal career in the UK began in immigration law. At Lexpert Solicitors LLP and Zuriel Solicitors in London, he researched and assisted on immigration cases and helped prepare appeals, alongside employment, family and civil matters. He has stayed active in immigration law since then and has continued to take on immigration matters voluntarily.

His corporate background adds real depth to his business immigration work. From 2022 to early 2026 he was the in-house group legal adviser to the Neon Eight group, a group of about 40 companies across the UK, the BVI, the Cayman Islands and other jurisdictions. He worked with the Board on corporate structure, governance and regulatory risk. He also led the drafting and negotiation of commercial agreements and managed external counsel in several jurisdictions. He then worked as Compliance Manager at Acumen Global Academy Ltd in London. This experience feeds directly into his sponsor licence work: preparing applications, reviewing HR and record-keeping systems, and making sure employers meet their duties under the Immigration Rules and the Home Office sponsor guidance. It also shapes his work on business plans and company structures for Innovator Founder applicants.

Before moving to the UK, he was AVP and Head of Legal and Corporate Affairs at Sheba Platform Limited, a digital platform business in Dhaka. There he handled investment documents and prepared a Payment Service Provider licence application. Earlier, he practised at Yale Law Associates and Alliance Laws, and worked on energy regulatory matters and Power Purchase Agreements at the Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission.
